Abstract

The use of psychoactive substances (PAS), legal or illegal, is one of the risk behaviors among children and adolescents and is associated with antisocial and / or delinquent behaviors, such as those that lead to infractions and, later, insertion in the Socio-educational system provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA). These situations are grounds for discussion and concern for parents and educators. In order to plan an intervention aimed at prevention and / or return to socially accepted behaviors, it is necessary to know the pattern of alcohol and other drug use among adolescents. Thus, 15 inmates from a semi-liberty unit under the ECA participated in this study. The profile of adolescents was raised through the following instruments: AUDIT, Q_F, DUSI-R and ASSIST. It was concluded that the pattern of use of PAS among adolescents treated in the semi-liberty regime is high when compared to the general population and, in relation to the studies, almost all had dropped out of school.
