Abstract
Abstract The profession, which is not subject to statutory regulation, is self-regulated by the main professional body for surveyors, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The RICS requires all firms registered for regulation by RICS to ‘ensure that all previous and current professional work is covered by adequate and appropriate professional indemnity insurance cover which meets the standards approved by the RICS Regulatory Board.’
