Abstract

This article is in connexion with talks about the implementation of the Association with Overseas territories (cooperation for the development) such as organized by the European Economic Community (EEC) in 1958. We shall try to confront the African vision of the Association and that of France, main initiator of this policy among States members. We shall also see that if the Association was considered by France as a means to continue her "colonial mission” in Tropical Africa, after all it had to allow former French territories in Africa to keep free themselves to a certain extent from the French trusteeship.
