Abstract

In order to overcome the unreasonable problems existing in the current drainage network planning and design, this paper puts forward the spatial analysis method of geographic information technology, which extracts the key parameters of the rainwater management model (SWMM), and converts the parameters stored in ShapeFile format into the files that conform to the model specifications, so as to construct the drainage network model of the research area based on GIS. Using the model simulation software to further improve the model parameters, six Chicago rainfall hydrographs are synthesized. The design return period p of rainstorm is 0.25A, 0.5A, la, 2a, 5A and 10A respectively, and the rainfall peak coefficient r is 0.4. The pipe network models under these six rainfall scenarios are simulated, so as to statistically analyze the drainage capacity of the pipe network under these different scenarios. The experimental results show that this method can effectively detect the rationality of drainage network planning and design.
