Abstract

1. When solving problems of the introduction and improvement of the method of constructing underground structures it is necessary to examine and take into account organizational, engineering-geologic, and economic problems (the walls of buried rooms with the use of the diaphragm-wall method are simultaneously a retaining structure, which reduces the consumption of metal, and in the case of a high groundwater level, a grout curtain, which reduces the cost of groundwater lowering considerably).
