Abstract

A new algorithm is presented for the construction matrix in the closed-shell SCF iterative process. It relies on a partial sorting of the P supermatrix elements performed in core storage buffers. The sorting substantially contracts the label to be stored with each P element and the building time of the two-electron interaction matrix is cut down by about 35% at the assembler level.
