Abstract
In order to obtain more understanding of differences in genome organization between fertile and cytoplasmic male sterile (CMS) lines of rice, the mito chondrial genomic library of rice Zhenshan 97B bas been constructed using lambda vector EMBL3. The recombinant phage plaques were identified by means of in situ hybri dization with nonradioactive labeled mtDNA probes. Furthermore, we have screened this library with atp9, atp6, coxI and coxIII gene probes. Two positive clone were mapped by partial restriction digestion and using 5’-32P end-labeling cos-specific 12 oligonucleotides.
