Abstract
Abstract The first enantioselective construction of nonadjacent 1,3-tertiary–quaternary stereocenters containing a trifluoromethylated carbon by cinchona alkaloid-catalyzed Michael addition of β-ketoesters to 2-(trifluoromethyl)acrylate has been achived in high yields with high enantioselectivities up to 97% ee.
