Abstract

Objective To prepare a medical device related pressure injuries (MDRPI) risk assessment scale for critical patients, and to provide a basis for the clinical assessment of the risk of MDRPI in critically ill patients. Methods Conducted a three-round expert consultation on 36 experts with Delphy method, analyzed the expert's positive coefficient, the authority, and the coordination coefficient, and screened the items according to the results of the expert consultation. Results The ICU MDRPI risk assessment scale consisted of 6 first level indicators and 23 second level indicators. The positive coefficients of the three rounds of expert consultation were 90.4%, 94.7%, 100.0%, the expert authority was 0.870, the expert's coordination coefficient was 0.889, Kendall (W) of first level indicators were 0.299, 0.316, 0.379, and Kendall (W) of second level indicators were 0.276, 0.307, 0.368, the variation coefficient were 9.3%, 16.7%, 22.3%, with statistically significant differences (P<0.001). Conclusion The construction process of the ICU MDRPI Risk Assessment Scale is scientific, with good reliability and validity, which can screen high-risk patients with ICU MDRPI and can be used as a risk assessment tool for MDRPI in patients.
