Abstract

Objective To construct a humanistic quality evaluation index for professional nurses in critical and acute care, so as to provide basis for an objective assessment to them. Methods Basing on scientific definition of related concepts of humanistic quality, with Delphi method used, 10 medical care specialists, from the Third Military Medical University and the Third Affiliated Hospital of the Third Military Medical University, were surveyed by a two-round inquiry by letter, so that the evaluation index of humanistic quality for professional nurses in critical and acute care was constructed. Results In this study, a humanistic quality evaluation index for professional nurses in critical and acute care was constructed, with 7 primary indicators (moral trait, ideals and faith, cultural skills, manners, psychological quality, emotion, and legal constitution) , 17 secondary indicators and 48 third-level indicators. Conclusions The identified index system can objectively reflect the present characteristics of humanistic quality of professional nurses in critical and acute care, which can provide reference for project evaluation, education and training, and specialist management.
