Abstract
Intramolecular CH arylation of a thiophene derivative in the presence of a palladium catalyst furnishes fused tricyclic thiophene in a high yield. The obtained thiophene undergoes further intermolecular CH arylation with a palladium catalyst and AgN0 3 /KF.
