Abstract

Objective To establish a nursing outcome evaluation system for hip replacement patients. Methods The nursing records of 400 hip replacement patients of the orthopedic department of a Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital in Dalian City from January 2015 to January 2017 were reviewed. Based on Nursing Outcomes Classification (Third Edition) , the evaluation system for hip replacement patients were constructed combined with literature review, semi-structured interviews and Delphi expert inquiry method was applied to determine the entry content of the system. Results A total of 20 experts were recruited in the consultation. The questionnaire recovery rate of the first round consultation was 85% (17/20) , and the second round was 100% (17/17) . The expert authority coefficients were 0.839 and 0.850, and the variation coefficient was 0.076 to 0.142. After two rounds of consultation, the experts' opinions reached a good level of consistency. The evaluation system of nursing outcome of hip replacement included 6 dimensions, 18 second-level items, and 36 third-level items. Conclusions Based on the nursing outcome, the nursing outcome evaluation scale for hip replacement patients evaluated patients from the perspective of nursing. It is beneficial to enhance the specialized nursing quality in orthopedic department. Key words: Arthroplasty, replacement, hip; Nursing outcome; Delphi method; Evaluation system
