Abstract

Ecological protection redlines have important strategic significance for maintaining the ecological security patterns and ensuring ecosystem services. It is also an important way to achieve national and regional ecological security. Based on the importance of ecosystem services and ecological sensitivity assessment, and in combination with the existing ecological protection areas, the total area of ecological protection redlines in Jiangxi Province were delineated, accounting for 35.71% of the total area of the province. Then, minimum cumulative resistance model was utilized with redlines as source regions to build the comprehensive ecological security patterns. Finally, spatial distribution of ecological security patterns and a series of components such as ecological corridors, radiation routes and ecological strategy nodes were identified. Three-level ecological function zones were divided. The areas of high-level, moderate-level and low-level ecological lands accounted for 13.84%, 29.59%, and 46.89% of the total area of the province, respectively.
