Abstract

A new method of DNA sequence reading has been proposed[1]. This approach is based on obtaining information on the n-tuple composition experimentally and the reconstruction of DNA sequences by further computational analysis. Using the G-RAM neuron model it is possible to store the n-tuple content and by generalizing the RAM nodes to output information required for sequencing of the DNA fragment. A DNA reconstruction system using G-RAMs is described in this paper. A software simulation has been written and the obtained results are presented. The system successfully reconstructed 88% of randomly created fragments, which correlates with statistical expectations[1].
