Abstract
Response surface methodology (RSM) is a method by which the experimenter can reach an optimum response by exploring the relationships between the response and the factors affecting the response. Most rotatable response surface designs are symmetrical, although factors with mixed-level have more practical utility. This paper describes the response surface model for asymmetrical factors of the form 2m´3n with first m factors at levels two each and remaining n factors at level three each where experimental units/plots experience the neighbour effects from immediate left and right neighbouring units. A method of construction for the same has been proposed. The design developed is rotatable.
