Abstract

A metal-organic framework (MOF) medi-MOF-1 containing curcumin with inhibitory effect on tumor growth was adopted for cancer therapy. And theranostic agents Mn ions were loaded to construct a theranostic system Mn@medi-MOF-1 (Mn 14.82 wt% and curcumin 31.62 wt%). In vitro, it displayed T1-weighted magnetic resonance performance, ideal ability of ROS production for chemodynamic therapy and stimuli-responsive drug release to inhibit cancer cell growth, indicating its potential applications for multimodal cancer theranostic.
