Abstract

Thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) glow curves induced by UV and visible radiation in NaCl:Tl + were measured by using a locally developed reader with spectral resolution, and analysed in order to determine the activation energies, frequency factors and kinetic orders. Additionally, TL emission spectra were obtained, and optical absorption, excitation and emission spectra were measured. With this information, peaks of TL emission spectra at 305 and 390 nm were associated with thallium dimers; others at 270, 450 and 530 nm were attributed to NaCl.
