Abstract

Objective To explore the construction and clinical effects of ICU nursing subspecialty group. Methods From January 2018 to January 2019, we selected 60 ICU nurses in the 2nd Affiliated Hospital and Yuying Children's Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University as the subjects by convenient sampling, set up a nursing subspecialty group, selected a staff plan for the group, and defined the work responsibilities of the group; we also determined the organizational management structure, drafted an operation project proposal for the subspecialty group, established the group work system and training program, implemented a performance management mechanism, and formulated an evaluation operation mechanism. Nursing quality, patients' satisfaction, doctors' satisfaction 1 year before and after the ICU nursing subspecialty group was launched were compared and analyzed. Results After the ICU nursing subspecialty group was constructed, the basic nursing, specialized nursing, high-quality nursing, sterilization and isolation, patient satisfaction, and doctor's satisfaction with the nurse were significantly higher than those before the construction, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05) . Conclusions The construction of the ICU nursing subspecialty group can comprehensively improve the quality of care, the satisfaction of patients and doctors, which proves an effective discipline and talent management model.
