Abstract
Objective To establish a kind of nursing human caring healing model which adapts to physical and mental health service demands of the special elderly people. Methods According to the co-operation way of Government-Industry-University-Research, through the scientific research project to do some study of investigation, qualitative research and theoretical research, and comprehensively analyzing the physical and mental needs of special elderly peoples, the human caring healing model for special elder-ly nursing was worked out. Then this specific model was put into practice through caring interviews, caring touch and other nursing intervention, which depended on the leadership support, teachers' guidance, nurs-ing student combined with their own research project. Results 46 empty nesters elderly living alone gained human caring perception after receiving caring interview, such as a sense of security trust, identity hope, warm of harmony, and 46 college students also gained human caring awareness, such as generating professional achievement, moral pleasure, charity mission; 36 disability elderly with depression (GDS) showed significant differences in the total score before and after caring touch (53.56±5.14 vs. 57.83±5.12, t=-8.283, P<0.01), 36 college students also had statistical significance in average score of human caring quality before and after the intervention on disability elderly depressive symptoms(118.50±12.04 vs. 134.80±10.86, t=-5.508, P<0.01). Conclusions This pattern is a new kind of win-win pension service model. In this new type model, medical nursing school teachers and students are set as the main body, and Government-Industry-University-Research is the pension services. This win-win model made the special elderly people and medical nursing college students have double benefit. Simultaneously, it reflects the unique therapeutic effect of nursing care.
