Abstract

An editorial is presented in which the author discusses about the scholars who used Greek learning, Hellenism with a divers viewpoint and history of classic scholarship, book history, philology, shaping the Greek learning and modern notions of Hellenism. It talks about using the term Venetian Hellenism or Florentine Hellenism by modern scholars for ancient Greek literature, philosophy of the religion and Bude relating the word Hellenism with Christianity and not linked to historic culture.
