Abstract

In this paper, Prussian blue (PB) prepared by simple liquid phase synthesis method derives CoFe2O4 microcubes, which show remarkable rate performance and cycle stability when used as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The cubic frame inherited from PB template and the synergistic effect of bimetallic elements gave the CoFe2O4 microcubes excellent electrochemical performance. At a current density of 100 mA g−1, the discharge capacity stabilized at 932 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles. Even at 500 mA g−1, after 350 cycles, the discharge specific capacity is still 602 mAh g−1. This work provides ideas for the development of LIBs anodes.
