Abstract
The concepts of Business ecosystem become acceptable both in academic researcher and practitioners during last decade. The competition among companies also evolved from the level of operation management, supply chain management toward to business ecosystem level. Following a strategic research design, we reviewed the relevant manufacturing system and business ecosystem literatures, then did three main cases study in mobile computing area, all these companies with high-tech background, got huge benefit from their business ecosystem and were able to demonstrate business ecosystem management has big difference from supply chain management: Business ecosystem is aiming to commercialize emerging ideas inside business dynamic environment in order to nurture and maintain a new industry. Finally, we will present a preliminary framework to explain this phenomenon with two aspects: to identify the constructional factors of business ecosystem as well as some relevant tools.
