Abstract

Observing basic biological phenomenon in prokaryotic organisms encounter many complications and challenges. With the advancement of synthetic biology in the recent years, several cell-mimicking tools have emerged. Hence, the need to engineer robust models that could assist bottom up biological research has become more demanding. Currently Giant Unilamellar Vesicles (GUVs) are becoming the most preferred tools in bottom up approach. In this work we construct GUV models that mimic inner membrane of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria under physiological salt and pH conditions.
