Abstract

Nowadays, Mg alloys have been attracting worldwide attention because of their appropriate physico-chemical properties and biocompatibility. However, the high chemical reactivity and poor corrosion resistance hinder its practical applications seriously. Here, we proposed a new method that can screen compact and brilliant stability film based on the fundamental problem of Mg alloy LDH films, thereby constructing a hydrocalumite-like LDH (CaAl-HCL) film. On the one hand, the bridge between the compactness of the film and the supersaturation of film-forming agents is constructed through thermodynamics and dynamics, enabling the designing of compact films. On the other hand, the poor stability of the film induced by the ion-exchange process is improved by choosing a seven-coordinated structure.
