Abstract

Upper and lower bounds are derived for electronic energy hypersurfaces of various multiplicities over a general nuclear configuration space. Whereas, in relations derived earlier, only energy hypersurfaces of the same multiplicity could be used as upper or lower bounds for each other, this restriction is now removed in the more general relations proposed in the present study.
