Abstract

Assuming that the hadronic electromagnetic current contains an isoscalar C-even part, we use the softpion technique and pole dominance to determine the isospin of the final state in the CP-violating part of the K0→2π amplitude. If the usual dimensional arguments for the order of magnitude of the amplitude hold, as they appear to do for the observed value of η+−, then values of η00 close to η+− are excluded.
