Abstract

We study the influence of the region above 1 GeV on low-energy ππ amplitudes by using manimum subtracted dispersion relations, in addition to the twice subtracted ones. When our results are compared with the recent phase-shift analysis below 1 GeV, we find that the S-wave isospin-zero scattering length has to lie between 0.5 and 0.8.
