Abstract

Constraints from the unification of non-gravitational interactions are discussed for a class of composite models of quarks and leptons with unbroken SU( N) H ⊗ SU(3) c ⊗ U(1) em interactions (H being hypercolor responsible for the binding of preons). Some new models are proposed in this connection. The minimal SU(7) unification is analyzed in detail for the case of N = 4.
