Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become an important source of information and efficiency for many sectors across the globe. In the education sector, specially, the application of ICTs has become a critical part of the learning process for university students both outside and inside the classrooms. Studying the constraints faced by the respondents in the use of ICT in educational institutions may assist teachers and students to overcome these barriers and become successful adopters of technology in the future. The present study was conducted on “Constraints of teachers and students in application of information and communication technologies (ICTs)” with the sample size 250 including 100 teachers and 150 students. Findings of the study showed that more than half of the teachers faced the physiological problem like eye pain occasionally (55.00%) followed by back ache and head ache (54.00%) and arm pain (50.00%). Majority of the students never faced the problem of nerve pain (66.67%) followed by arm pain (56.00%) and hand pain (52.00%). Respondents suggested frequent workshops, trainings, conferences followed by high internet connection.
