Abstract

ABSTRACTThe problem of applying a linear constraint on expected selection responses in a two-character independent culling levels scheme is investigated. A general equation is derived, the solutions of which specify the culling levels satisfying the constraint applied. Examples are given to demonstrate how different constraints can be applied by transforming one or more of the characters under selection.
