Abstract

ABSTRACT The article focuses on analyzing the measures taken by Kazakhstan to combat corruption and assessing their effectiveness. The primary aim of the article is to identify issues and shortcomings in Kazakhstan’s anti-corruption system, with a specific emphasis on the accountability and punishment of state officials. It is found that the greater the extent of corruption, the more favorable the conditions for its occurrence and existence become. The scale of corruption in Kazakhstan is influenced by factors such as culture, social dynamics, politics, economics, and the legal system. Corruption in the country is identified as a moral, economic, political, and legal problem. Our research findings indicate that the fight against corruption, especially at the upper levels of government in Kazakhstan, will be challenging due to a lack of interest among some officials, their absence of responsibility, and the degree of punishment for such crimes.
