Abstract

The structure of Mn–H alloys was determined by X-ray diffraction under high hydrogen pressures and high temperatures, and a phase diagram was established over a wide range of p(H 2), T conditions. A new phase having a dhcp structure was found, and the stability of various phases was examined in particular relation to superabundant vacancy formation.
