Abstract

The essential oil of Solidago litoralis Savi, a neoendemic from North Tuscany (Italy) has been studied for the first time. The main constituents are myrcene, α-pinene and β-caryophyllene. These results confirm the specific rank of the plant, previously considered a subspecies of S. virgaurea.
