Abstract

Although consortial purchases of electronic resources by academic libraries are prevalent, there are few cost-benefit analysis studies of such transactions. This case study fulfills this shortage, in part, through a cost-benefit analysis for an electronic product acquired by an academic library consortium, finding significant savings in patron time.
