Abstract
A one-dimensional, non-linear consolidation model for organic soils is presented in this paper. The model includes the change of soil parameters caused by this process. A mathematical description of oedometric tests for organic soils and a method for interpretation of the results is discussed. The model presented here can be applied to the prediction of consolidation in weak soils (peats).
