Abstract

AbstractThis article investigates the consistence of initial conditions present in mathematical models under uncertainty. These conditions are given in form of a linear equation and the uncertainty is described by fuzzy numbers. This work provides an algorithm that constructs triangular fuzzy numbers satisfying the fuzzy linear equation. Moreover, it shows that the initial conditions should not be chosen aleatory, instead, these conditions must be given by interactive fuzzy numbers. An example is presented in order to illustrate this method.KeywordsFuzzy linear equationFuzzy initial conditionsInteractive fuzzy numbers
