Abstract

Power system state estimation is one of the function performed in the modern control centers. It is a technique which provides an estimate of system state which is a phasor of voltage magnitude and angles at different nodes of the system. State estimation (SE) is the backbone of energy management system (EMS) by playing important role of monitoring and control of power system. At the energy control centre there may be involvement of imperfect or bad measurement so that state estimation process estimate the true value of the state variable. This paper present study of Weighted Least Square (WLS) method for 6-bus sample power system and IEEE 30-bus power system and our data show its effectiveness.
