The authors discuss the role of acculturation in communication between Hispanic American parents and their teenage children regarding sexual health. They mention the levels of acculturation affecting the amount and content of communication, the desire of teenagers to avoid conflict or discomfort in talking to their parents, and the importance of considering acculturation levels going forward.
