Abstract
The example is given describing the use of detailed velocity analysis and consideration of distorting effect of velocity heterogeneities in shallow structure. The method was tested in permafrost rocks. Unlike the wide-spread methods of effective velocity estimation based on common-midpoint time-distance curves, the technology uses the algorithm of effective velocity estimation based on reversed time-distance curve, proposed by S. V. Goldin in 1991. The algorithm provides invariance of the timing and dynamic distortion, generated by the shallow part of the wave. The paper has examples illustrating the possibility of consideration of volumetric inhomogeneous environment in shallow structure for common-midpoint reflection data processing and structural imaging. The approach uses statics evaluation by means of dynamic analogue of time-depth curve, integrated in ProMAX processing system as software module, providing high processability
