Abstract

AbstractThe use of external reinforcement systems to strengthen reinforced concrete structures has become widespread due to its high efficiency and manufacturability. At the same time, despite a sufficient number of regulatory documents on the main areas of calculations, there are a number of practical application issues that require detailed study and elaboration. One of the issues is the redistribution of bending moments in statically indeterminate systems. In this article, the question of the influence of external reinforcement on the redistribution of bending moments in a monolithic reinforced concrete floor is considered. Various options for the use of external reinforcement to strengthen the span and support zones are considered. The requirements of the norms and the results of real experiments are taken into account. Based on the results, a conclusion is made about the influence of external reinforcement on the redistribution of bending moments in the plate, as a result of the influence on the utilization factor of the load-bearing capacity of the reinforced section.KeywordsFRPMoment redistributionSlab
