Abstract
From the cut of the two major centers of pilgrimage party in the state by the number of participants: Sao Cristovao and Divina Pastora. This article aims to show what was found on those aspects of religious tourism in Sergipe. The methodology used was literature with the theoretical contribution of tourism and religious tourism, popular religiosity, identity, culture, space, sacred and profane, party and procession, backed up by field research. With the study was found that the demand profile of people moving to these two villages, is characterized by much pain/suffering, in the request or thanksgiving for a grace/cure, than the pleasure of traveling.

Professora Titular Plena da Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz/UESC Campus Prof. Resumo Partindo do recorte dos dois maiores centros festivos de romaria no estado pelo número de partícipes: São Cristóvão e Divina Pastora. O presente artigo visa mostrar o que foi constatado sobre os aspectos do turismo religioso em Sergipe. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica com o aporte teórico sobre turismo e turismo religioso, religiosidade popular, identidade, cultura, espaço, sagrado e profano, festa e procissão, embasada pela pesquisa de campo. Com o estudo ficou constatado que, o perfil na demanda de pessoas que se deslocam para essas duas localidades, é caracterizado muito mais pela dor/sofrimento, no pedido ou agradecimento por uma graça/cura, do que pelo prazer em viajar.
