Abstract

For some students with disabilities, the transition to ­college represents a significant challenge. Some students move from a small high school where the staff knew them and their peer group was limited to a large university where they are anonymous and their class contains thousands of other students. Many students haven’t yet ­developed self‐advocacy skills. They may lack academic skills, too. Some have never stayed away from home overnight.
