Abstract

For some students with disabilities, the transition to college represents a ­significant challenge. Some move from a small high school where the staff knew them and the peer group was limited to a large university where they are anonymous and their class contains thousands of other students. Many students have not yet developed self‐advocacy skills. They may lack academic skills, too. Some have never stayed away from home overnight.
