Abstract

The purpose of this article is to report a patient with extreme delayed eruption in primary teeth. Teething age starts when the first baby tooth erupts, in majority of infants usually at about 6 months of age but it may vary for months. Since the eruption timing was influenced by racial, sexual, nutrition, and individual factors. However, rare of infant will delayed beyond 6 months. This well nourish 18-month-old girl whose parents' main complaint was no any primary tooth eruption in oral cavity without any systemic disease and premature birth history. Delayed primary teeth eruption (DPTE) was diagnosed by oral examination, blood tests, and CT scan. Delay eruption in primary teeth would limit the mature of chew function and food intake. Moreover, the delayed eruption of deciduous teeth could be one of the symptoms for other systemic disease. In the presentation, we notify the etiology, differential diagnosis and clinical guide of primary teeth eruption.
