Abstract

808 Iranian elementary school children (aged 6.00 to 12.11 yr.) were tested for development of quantity conservation by boys and girls. Outcomes corroborated the Piaget description of the sequential development of the conservation of mass, weight, and volume. Boys obtained higher scores than girls.
