Abstract

AbstractFor large but finite systems the density of energy states can be obtained uniquely from the specific heat as a function of temperature. In a dilute magnetic alloy with linear dependence of the specific heat on the temperature T (at low T) the density of energy states in the lower energy region is given by a modified Bessel function.
