Abstract

Consequences of school-age pregnancy and motherhood are important factors in decision making regarding school procedures and educational practices related to school age pregnant girls and young mothers. Such consequences often are assumed by decision makers and seldom research based. School age mothers their parents and school personnel were interviewed independently to determine their perceptions of consequences of teenage pregnancy and motherhood. Perceived consequences differed for the 3 sets of interviewees. Implications for educators based on socioeconomic and age differences are discussed. (Authors)
