Abstract

The article presents important materials on the course "Concepts of Modern Natural Science", related to the problem of the conscious and the unconscious, their features of manifestation, and connection with human life. The author shows that the more developed the system is, the more important the internal mechanisms of development are for it, which, in turn, are based on past experience and on the growing role of foresight and design of the future. The phylogenetically innate unconscious (the innermost unconscious) is at the heart of human mental life. The ontogenetically formed unconscious (the subconscious) is most directly connected with it. Forming a single whole, these two types of the unconscious serve as the foundation for preconsciousness and consciousness. The materials of the article can be useful within the framework of such areas of study as Psychology, Medicine, and Philosophy.
