Abstract

IntroductionAt present patient preferences integrate the moral and legal core of the doctor-patient relationship, which can not be initiated without the acceptance of it in most cases; this is how the participation and joint deliberation is the best way to approach this meeting today. Informed consent is an essential tool in clinical practice to ensure individual rights and safeguard one of the basic pillars on bioethics, autonomy of each person. ObjectiveIdentify informed clinical consent knowledge's in health professionals in training at a hospital in Durango. MethodA descriptive, observational and prospective study was applied to 46 participants (21 intern doctors, 18 interns nurses and 7 interns dentistry) of a hospital in Durango. It was applied a questionnaire of 28 items on informed consent, general information and opinion questions. It was used a Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, descriptive statistics, ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis, CI 95% as significant a value of p <0.05. The information is kept strictly confidential. ResultsMean age 24 ± 1.2 years was obtained, 52.2% were men and the stay length in the hospital 5.5 (2-12) months. From items answered correctly on informed consent obtained an average of 5.3 ± 1.4 and 4.1 ± 1.1 score was obtained. The 91.7% of respondents noted interest in training on informed consent and 96.8% on bioethical issues. ConclusionsThe results showed deficiencies in health professionals in training their knowledge on informed consent. However, highlights the high interest they have in receiving training on these issues.
