Abstract

A connection between the energy eigenvalues of the Coulomb and three-dimensional oscillator potentials is shown both semiclassically and quantum mechanically. The transformation between the corresponding wavefunctions is obtained and is used to give a new derivation of the transmission factor for a one-dimensional parabolic barrier.
